Amazing Medal Haul at English Opens Championships

Students from Rayners Lane Taekwon-Do Academy won an amazing 33 medals at the recent English Opens Taekwon-Do Championships, held in St. Albans recently (1st October, 2017).

The medals were won by just 17 students that entered the event and were achieved in the many various divisions of Patterns, Sparring and Special Technique and won by students of all ages and grades. Many student won 2 or 3 medals each, some double golds.

On top of that, there were two Team Patterns events as well, one for under 12's and another for teens and adults. In the teens & adults division, the team from Rayners Lane Taekwon-Do Academy, named 'The wonder Women Plus 2' took the bronze medal position, where as in the under 12's divisions, the 'Rayners Lane Rockets' won the gold, against some very good performances.

The event was well attended by some 46 Schools, with over 350 plus competitors, from all around the country and as far afield as Scotland.

The students did so well in fact, that between them they accumulated the most points to win the title 'Best Overall School'. At the last event they just missed out on this title by 1 point, but this time they won it by a comfortable margin of 7 points against the school placed in 2nd.
